What we collect

When you join the Trader Toolkit list we collect your email address. If you purchase a product, our payment processor collects the billing information needed to complete the transaction. We never see or store your full card details. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance.

Buying something stores your email address in our own database as well, not only at the payment processor, because a licence has to belong to somebody and that address is where the key is sent. Alongside it we keep a reference to your customer and subscription at the processor, which is how the two systems know they are talking about the same account.

Links in our video descriptions carry a short tag, like ?src=yt-001, identifying which video you followed. Your browser stores that tag locally for up to 30 days, and if you later join the list we record it alongside your email so we know which videos are worth making more of. The tag identifies a video, not you: it is the same for everyone who clicks that link, it is not a cookie, it is not shared with anyone, and it cannot follow you to other websites. If you never arrive through a tagged link there is nothing to store. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

How we use it

• To deliver products you purchase, including license keys and updates.
• To improve our content and website.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Ever.

Email

Every marketing email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, in the footer and in the unsubscribe control your mail app shows next to our name. Unsubscribing removes you from marketing emails immediately, with no confirmation step; we may still send transactional emails related to purchases (receipts, license keys).

EDGEON licences and your computer

EDGEON is licensed per machine rather than per person, so activating it stores three things about the computer you activate on. None of it is collected from visitors to this site; it happens when you put a key into the indicator.

• A fingerprint of the machine. The indicator derives an identifier from the computer and sends it; what we store is a salted SHA-256 of that, never the original. It exists to count machines against the two your subscription covers, and it cannot be turned back into anything about your hardware.
• The computer's name. Whatever the machine calls itself, such as DESKTOP-7F2K. It is there so the licence page can show you which machine is which when you come to release one. People do name computers after themselves, so if yours has your name in it, then so does our database.
• When it last checked in. EDGEON verifies the licence when a chart loads and we update a timestamp each time. Kept over months that amounts to a record of the days you had it running, which is more than a licence strictly needs, and we would rather write that down here than let you find it out from the licence page.

Releasing a machine at garagetrades.com/license/ frees the slot straight away and marks that record released. It does not erase it. Asking us to delete your data does.

Third-party services

We name ours rather than describing them, because "an email service provider" is not something you can go and read the policy of. Your email address is stored by Supabase (our database) and sent by Resend (our email service). The site is hosted by Vercel. When you buy EDGEON the payment is taken by Stripe, which holds the card and the billing record; we never receive a full card number. This page names the processor ahead of checkout opening rather than after, which is what the previous version of this paragraph promised it would do. YouTube serves the embedded videos. The market-quote strip on our homepage is an embedded TradingView widget, loaded from TradingView's servers and governed by its privacy policy. Each of these services processes your data under its own policy. Embedded content and outbound links to YouTube, X, Instagram, TikTok, and Discord are likewise governed by those platforms' policies.

Where your data is processed

Supabase, Resend and Vercel are United States companies, and your data is processed in the United States. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, that is a transfer outside your own region. Each of the three publishes a data processing agreement that forms part of the terms we accepted with them, and each incorporates the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which is the mechanism that transfer relies on.

We are a Florida company and most of the people reading this are American, so this is a short section rather than a long one. The part that matters is in it: where the data goes, who holds it, and under what terms.

Cookies & analytics

This site sets no tracking cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless service run by our hosting provider, to count page views: it records the page visited, referrer, country, and device type, identifies visits with an anonymous hash that resets daily, and cannot follow you across other websites. We see aggregate numbers, not individual profiles. Details are in Vercel's analytics privacy notice.

How long we keep it

Your email address stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. There is no automatic expiry, and we would rather say that than invent a schedule we do not actually run.

One detail worth knowing: unsubscribing does not erase the row, it marks it unsubscribed. That is deliberate. If we deleted it, a later signup with the same address would quietly put you back on a list you had left. Asking us to delete your data is a different request and does remove it, and after that a fresh signup starts you over as a new subscriber.

A signup you never confirmed sits there unconfirmed and receives no newsletter. The only email it can produce is another copy of the same confirmation request, and only if you ask for one by submitting the form again, at most once every five minutes. We never email an unconfirmed address on our own initiative. It is deleted on request the same way as any other.

A licence and the activation records under it have no automatic expiry either. Cancelling stops the billing and leaves the licence as the record of what was sold; releasing a machine keeps its row and marks it released. Asking us to delete your data removes all of it, and if a subscription is still running we will say so first, because deleting a live licence stops the software on your machines.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time by emailing support@garagetrades.com. Depending on where you live (e.g., EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA), you may have additional statutory rights, and we honor them.

Children

Our content and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We'll post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated date.
